As a Voice Performance major at CCM, my work at Vianden Festival had everything to do with my major and, at that time, life goal of becoming a professional musician. Vianden participants were encouraged to participate in vocal chamber ensembles, a type of ensemble that I had not yet experienced, despite my years musical training. This festival also catered to my interest in international study, as it was in a foreign country and well known for the diverse international background of its participants. This photograph depicts the street view from the ancient Vianden castle, where we performed most of our concerts.
The first artifact is a recording from my first chamber works performance at the Vianden Castle in Vianden, Luxembourg. The second artifact is a recording of my special act in the Musical Theater Showcase, directed by Cincinnati Opera director Nic Muni.
